Janata Jute Mills Ltd. received two national awards on National Jute Day 2026, presented at a ceremony on 6 March 2026 by the Ministry of Textiles and Jute, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.

The two honours recognise different halves of the same business. The first, Best Jute Products Manufacturing Mill, is awarded on the strength of what the mill makes. The second, Best Exporter of Jute Products under the Hessian, Sacking and CBC category, is awarded on where it ships — the woven grades that have carried Bangladeshi jute abroad longest.

What the Recognition Marks

The company reads the two awards as recognition of its continuing work to advance the jute sector through manufacturing excellence, innovation, quality assurance and export performance — the four things the ministry's categories are built to measure.

As one of Bangladesh's leading jute manufacturers, Janata Jute Mills has helped strengthen the global standing of Bangladeshi jute products while supporting sustainable, eco-friendly industrial development. The recognition reinforces the company's commitment to international standards, and to the reputation the country's jute industry carries in the markets it sells to.
